IZZII Art Classes at major CraftExpos and Quilt and Craft shows around Australia

New classes for Melbourne. For the first time Susan Filer will be holding classes in Melbourne.
The classes will be held at the Craft and Quilt Fair in Melbourne Exhibition Centre. See below for more details

Hands on art classes with our resident Artist and Designer, Susan Filer. Step by step guidance by Susan will help release your inner artist while you create your own canvas masterpiece. Suitable for all levels, beginners are especially welcome as no previous experience or special skills are needed. Susan is a relaxed, fun teacher who is happy to share her experience so you will thoroughly enjoy the ‘Art’ while learning new skills.

Five classes to choose from.

Patchwork Elephants
Thursday, July 22nd, 3pm – 5pm $48.00 includes your own Elephant art pack
Safari Elephants set off against an inventive patchwork without stitching canvas. Introduces templates, no sew patchwork and silhouette painting.

Waterlily Pond
Friday, July 23rd, 3pm – 5pm $48.00 includes your own waterlily art pack
Peaceful blue waterlily flowers floating on a tranquil pond. Introduces napkin art and artist gels.

Fresh Flowers
Saturday, July 24th, 3pm – 4.45pm $48.00 includes your own Flower pack. and again on
Sunday, July 25th 9.30am - 11.15am $48.00 includes your own Flower pack
Bright and fresh this is a stunning piece suitable for both new artists and those looking for new techniques. Introduces colour blending and three dimensional structure effects.

Design Journal Cover
Saturday July 24 5-6.45pm $48.00 includes journal and all matrerials needed
This is the perfect opportunity to explore possibilities with the new Liquid Patchwork medium, along with paper napkins, tectural gels. Transform the cover of a plain journal into an original work of art.

All classes will be held in the Izzii Studio in Aisle I inside the show.

Please note - Cancellations:
Refunds: A refund will be issued less an $8.00 admin fee, up until 4 weeks before the class date, 2 - 4 weeks prior to class a 50% refund will be issued, 2 weeks prior to the class date NO refunds will be issued. If you are able to find a replacement to take your place in class we will happily transfer your booking over at no charge.

WALK ON THE WILD SIDE - 3 hour hands on WORKSHOP - This workshop can be held at you local guild or store please contact Susan for further options and information. susan@patternplace.com.au

Participants chose to work on either a Small Giraffe, Elephant, Rhino or Zebra wall quilt. All the materials for the quilt front are supplied.

This year The Pattern Place has continued to grow and now our patterns are available through many local quilt stores. At the craft shows around Australia LOGANS Patchwork will be carrying our full range so pop by and say hello to Margaret and check out all the new designs.

We have a new seminar that Susan will be conducting at these shows titled, Wild About Appliqué it will introduce you to Modern Appliqué techniques and new products. Susan will show you some of the many and varied ways of applique including, two sided appliqué, 3D flowers, no stress needle turn, ‘No Sew’ appliqué and the mistake proof self sticking appliqué web. Plus new techniques for transferring designs to your quilt top for stitching. So be sure you mark it in your show guide and pop by and say hello on the stand.
